KOBELCO cranes are on the job at construction sites throughout the world.Working as a global technology development center,we seek out information from KOBELCO sales and service locations in Japan and gather user and market data from abroad to create the basis for new designs.After all the data is carefully analyzed,we decide on the basic features the new machine will have.Using advanced CAD and CAE systems,we quickly and efficiently complete all phases of the design process,from basic design through structural analysis,simulations,prototype design,testing,and mass production design.When creating new products,we always keep in mind the common needs of the global market and rise to the challenge of constant improvement.This is the spirit behind our developmental efforts.

Developing New Technologies through Basic Research

We engage in ongoing basic research so that we can respond quickly to changing needs for new products.This research is conducted in many fields that point the way to the future,including energy-saving,acoustical,and safety technologies. Our work is carried out in cooperation with such other organizations as the Kobe Corporate Research Laboratories.
